Marriage

I  get lost in his brown/green eyes each day.

I could be held by his strong arms for a lifetime.

I could laugh at his dry – sarcastic humor forever.

I did get lost in his love this morning. I held onto him and wouldn't let go. There we were at the edge of the stairs, holding each other, kissing, giggling and stealing precious moments together before we started our days.

My husband made a comment to me while we're driving to the grocery store the other day. Let me set the scene first.

It was about 3pm, neither child had taken a nap (normal nowadays), they were both being extra wild and crazy and pushing each others buttons quite well. They were doing a good job at pushing our buttons also.

He's my hero. He's my husband. My lover. My care taker when I'm ill. He's the Father is my children. He's so near and dear to my heart. In the weeks that I've been ill it has become even more clear to me how deep my love runs for this man. And how committed he is to me and our children.

September 8th, 2002 I made the biggest commitment of my life. I promised my life to a man. I promised forever. I promised to love, honor and obey. I promised to be his everything for always. I promised all of this in front of a preacher we didn't know, a photographer we just met, in a tiny little log cabin in the woods with only God present.
