Thinking about this post, and the responses to it, I began searching my soul even more for what true beauty is. What *I* think beauty is.

What makes a woman beautiful and appealing?

• Wisdom

• Compassion

• Joy

• Selflessness

• Smarts

• The ability to laugh at herself

• A woman who can be, not only comfortable in her own skin, but own it and love it.

And gray hair.

I've got a few.

Do you?

I look at those hairs as a badge of my growth and maturity in life.

And right now, at this stage in my life, I'm not covering them up… nor do I want to. I actually find them quite beautiful and like to search them out in the mirror.

Gray hair – women who "rock" their grays – that is beauty to me.

Woman with gray hair always appear authentic and confident.

And those two qualities are beauty in my eyes.

It is my greatest wish that I might be able to spare my children from the kind of pain that takes root, buries itself deeply and hangs around for a lifetime.

That I might be able to protect their little hearts and minds and souls from anything terrible or hurtful or painful.

And if not in my power to do such things, I wish for the strength and wisdom to stand with them through their pain and help them work through it, so that it doesn't bury itself so deeply that it can't be dug up and rooted out.

No matter – I'll always be there to support and love them through anything life sends their way.

Always.

Lets get something light and fluffy going on around here, shall we?

I'm shedding myself of the dark and allowing more of the light to shine through.

And what better way to step into the freshness of light than to do some 'window' shopping?

I'm digging this hair color. Though not necessarily for me, I think it's perfect for Spring!

I'd totally work this cut if my face could rock da bangs like that!

I like these Old Navy jeans, though I don't know how they'd make my body look.

And would wear this Old Navy shirt with them.

These etsy shop shoes would be adorable with the ensemble above, I think.

And because I'm a simple kind of gal, I'd wear something like this lovely 'The Vintage Pearl' necklace below. I'm sure I'd include my little sweetie's names on it.

Yeah, this 'window' shopping stuff I could get used to.

I'll nestle my baby snug against my breast when he is born.

And I'll nestle my baby close to me in slings, wraps and pouches.

I'm soaking in the pregnancy, the movements, and the growing belly and yet at the same time I'm quite anxious for his arrival.

For cute cozy winter baby clothes, warm fuzzy blankets, cute slings, little tiny baby face peering up at me…oh how my heart skips a beat when I think about it all.

I had to cancel my hair appointment for today because of my vertigo (being tipped backwards would not be a good thing right now), but I want to get the style chosen now so I'm ready when I can go in.

Here are three styles I like.

This one my husband and I seem to like the most — what do you think?

Here's one that I kind of like, but the hair would not be that much in my face. I can't stand having hair over my eyes like that.

Want to see me blonde? LOL It just printed out that way. Look past the blonde and focus on the cut. It is simular to the first but seems flatter. Who knows, could be the same look but just styled differently?
