Nick had his first school concert tonight.
The school was packed.
Kids, grandparents, parents, siblings, friends… everyone there to witness this grand occasion.
It felt like we were all gathered together for some magnificent life event… and in a way, it really was.

life is so hard for us right now.
husband working two jobs and still we barely get by.
i had a {once} successful business but now that we have three children it isn't successful enough…
the newness has yet to wear off.
the newness of being his mommy.
the newness of being mommy to them all.
waking up each morning to their tiny voices.
going to bed each night feeling fulfilled and at peace.

He spent the day with his Grandparents, Sunday, he and his little brother.
They played at the park, were spoiled at the store, and helped Grandpa build & create.
They both had a lot of fun… always do.

Jake {the bachelor} mentioned several times that he was himself with Vienna and I saw that during this season, too. He was silly and light hearted and seemed more comfortable in his skin around her. Though she wasn't my pick, I saw their connection and realness around each other.

Like a big fuzzy bear, waking up from his long winter's slumber, we crawled out of our hibernation to greet the cool splash of sunshine on our faces.
Almost feeling like aliens who had never seen the sun before, we dizzily played on the cool playground equipment, and got reacquainted with its charm.
