2010 Physical Goals
The mere fact that I'm putting down a long list of physical goals for this upcoming year is exciting in itself. I've been sick with this yeast beast crud for so long that it has all but stolen my active life from me.
Now that I'm on the road to healing myself through a healthy eating and living lifestyle, I know without a shadow of a doubt that I can now set and reach the physical goals I've been dreaming about for years.
Not just to keep myself accountable, but also to keep track of everything I am aiming for this year I'm writing them down for everyone to see. I hope these might inspire you, too.
2010 Physical Goals
- Run 3k without stopping (or passing out!) by the end of the year. I'd prefer this to happen by September, though I don't
know if that is feasible since I'm still healing my body from this Candida. - Put two little ones in a jogging stroller and jog with them at least once per week by the end of the year.
- Buy a bike for myself and my husband and ride together once per week. This will happen as soon as the weather improves and we have money to purchase a couple bikes.
- Indoor rock wall climb for the first time and if I like it, then do it often or try real rock climbing.
- Walk every day. (except the days that I'm doing other strenuous exercise)
- Drop 35 pounds.
I realize this looks like a lot to chew off in one year. There are two reasons I'm jotting down all these loft goals.
1. I remember how amazing I felt 3 years ago when I kicked the yeast beast. I had more energy than I could handle. I got up at the crack of dawn
every day, put two kiddos in a double stroller and hiked around our neighborhood. I say hike because it's literally like a hike with the steep hills I must travel. I would then use my energy the rest of the day to keep house, play with the kids, run errands, do other fun physical activities with my kids, run my business and so forth. At the end of the day I'd go alone, or take the dog, or take the kids again and hike the neighborhood again. And yet I still had energy to burn. I'm not only expecting the same results this time around, I'm greatly looking forward to it.
2. I want to try many different types of exercise in order to decide which of them I enjoy the most. I know not everything I try I'll like enough to keep up. My goal is to, at the very least, keep up one or two of the activities on a weekly basis. There are actually more physical activities I'd like to add to this list, but I'll edit the list as I go — if need be.
2010 is going to be a great year. And the reason I know this is because I'm going to make it a good year. A great year. I'm taking control of my health and life and future instead of letting it all pass by and only dreaming about it.

Those are awesome goals! I'm so excited *for* you! Congratulations in advance. I think even getting to a point where these are goals you want to attempt is great. I imagine you will be feeling even better once you have conquered them.
All I can say is, you go girl!

My goals are: be a healthy, happy pregnant lady until I deliver in July. After July, lose my pregnancy weight + the weight I'm still retaining from delivering baby number one 7 months ago. That's a lot of baby weight. oh well…I love what you said about all the extra energy you had…it's SOOOO true! I'm looking forward to that and being lighter, and fitting into my jeans again.
Yay! You can totally do it!

Awesome goals, Nell! So proud of you!
Oh, and that new picture of you on the left in your Shade shirt? GORGEOUS. That shirt looks way better on you than me.

I know you can accomplish anything you set your mind to Nell! Hubby seems to think that I can run a 1/2 marathon with him in Jamaica next Dec. but I might shoot for the 10k instead. You know a 5k is only 3 miles and I do Walk Away the Pounds 5 mile dvd's at home so I'm hoping to accomplish that 10k.
As for other goals, inch loss, eating less processed more veggies (looking into trying out a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle) and I want to lose all the weight I put back on over the last 2 years. Really disappointed that I gained so much back but I'm up for the challenge of doing it again since I have done it once before.
Writing out my goals this week and will post on my blog soon.
