The Healthy Happy Face

Zane's been on the anti-Candida diet for nearly two weeks now. Because he's on this diet he's also been off dairy and corn, which are allergens for him.

Though I've noticed some marked changes in his health, we're still in the very beginning of the healing process. It's important for anyone dealing with a yeast overgrowth to understand that you didn't get into this mess over night and you won't get out over night.

But if my 3 year old can do it, anybody can. ;)

Today we had eggs and cauliflower "muffins", which he simply devoured. And cauliflower pancakes.

Would he have ever eaten those before this diet? No. But when you're so strictly restricted in your diet you begin to see foods in a new light. Not only is he eating foods he'd never try before, but he's actually enjoying them.

The Candida diet isn't easy to follow most of the time simply because of the lack of time {or creativity} to create a delicious menu our families would love. There are many cookbooks out there, but often they don't seem to offer easy and affordable menu options with foods we are all familiar with. My Mother and I are in the process of alleviating these problems for my family, and we'll also be passing along our Candida diet secrets to you very soon.

In the meantime, check out this yummy breakfast!
