Soulful & Deep
There's something other-worldly about horses, don't you think? Something so deep and soulful and intelligent about them. When they look at you it's like they're looking into your soul and speaking to you in their own little way.
I love that we live in the country and are surrounded by the beauty of nature. It makes us feel alive in a way we couldn't possibly feel in the city. Instead of being crammed together with people, people and more people – and being housed next to house after house after house, we enjoy open fields and a few people and horses and cows and chickens and wildlife.
Oh how it feeds my soul.
My three year old {Zane} loves horses so much he had to get lots of "horsey-ponies" for his birthday and makes lego's into horses also.

One of these days we'll live in the country and I can't wait!

I always thought horses were wise elders. Their eyes say so much more than words can sometimes and they have this 6th sense. Like when they start acting crazy and running because they know a storm is coming even though it could be a 100 miles away.

I wholeheartedly agree. There's something so perfect, so magical, about a tree on a farm that's older than you can count, with leaves bigger than your head, giving your overheated body delicious shade as you lean against untainted, practically untouched bark. Unpolluted air is like breathing in life. It's how I feel every time we visit my husband's grandparent's farm.

I agree I also LOVE horses…. I might be slow on the uptake here, but Iove the new look of your blog!!! It is fantastic!!!
I'm sooo with you on living in the country! At my house there are four houses on the road, a big open field behind the backyard and a farm across from the front. We see wild turkeys sometimes, once there was a bear (that was a little scary since my son wanted to chase after it, lol!) and it's just really nice.
I couldn't imagine being crammed in and living in a city, it just stresses me out driving to the big city of Toronto here in Canada
I love your pics Nell! They are always so awesome no matter what they're of!

Horses are probably one of the coolest animals around. There's something so peaceful and relaxing about them. I've always wanted to learn how to ride them but I'm too chicken! lol
