I'd Like To Bottle This Up
I opened the windows today. And actually turned the attic fan on. I rifled through our closet looking for a warm top to go with my shorts. It was one of those perfect fall days where you want half your body cool and half warm. I found my husband's flannel shirt – perfection.
God opened up the Heaven's and sprinkled down upon our home a bounty of oriental beetle bugs. {I thought they were lady bugs, but was corrected.}
We were swarmed by these little orange and black bugs. It was fun, until you accidentally killed one and you hand stunk for hours.
They were on the house, the screens, the pumpkins, the cars, flying into your hair and landing on your legs. I took a picture of one crawling up my leg – I decided not to post it. Funny how you think you look totally different than you actually do when you see yourself on film. My legs are far too white to have that kind of close up on them. So you'll have to take my word on it… it was crawling and it was {I have to admit} a little gross.
I've slipped up on my diet the past few days. Seeing as we had two different parties for Zane, with two different cakes and ice cream and a special dinner… well, you didn't expect me to pass up a birthday party did you?
At least in shadow I look down right amazing. HOLLA!
I'm also pink for breast cancer. My Grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. She lost part of her breast, but she kept all of her life.

it is nice having this warmer run, i prefer 60s and sun but I am not going to be too picky!! i love fall for the fact you can where hoodies and shorts or long warm pants and tshirts!

Speaking of those ladybug fakes (that's what I call them), I should have had a picture taken of me (video probably would have been funnier) with the one who decided to take up a brief residence on my body! First I felt something crawl on my neck, flicked it off…well I guess I flicked it downward. I felt something on my back…screamed but my oldest daughter said nothing was there. I squirmed a bit and kept insisting something was there…nothing. About 2 minutes later I felt a tickle on my tummy and in true running man dance form I was up, running in place screaming "I told you, I told you OMG get it off me!" Those things were everywhere just as you described and believe it started in my hair and had a jolly time making me squirm and cringe for about 10 minutes.
Our weather was wonderful yesterday too & couldn't help but get out in it, fighting off those little annoying bugs and bees was worth the nice day we got to experience
