His Wool Sweater

Going along with the theme of Saturday's post {about Fall}, here's a photo taken with my Nikon D40 {edited with picnik} of a very fuzzy little woolly worm.

Woolly worms bring me back to my childhood — a very fun and carefree time. I absolutely adore seeing a piece of my memories being reborn in my own children.

Until I had a son I was most definitely not a worm type a person. But now I get to check out all kinds of creepy crawlers my son finds( :

i have only seen one so far and it was black as coal. That means a bad winter to come right? I never could remember what the colors mean.

I use to love playing with wooly worms as a kid. Now it is something i love to watch my kids do.

Hey Nell… had to leave you a comment on this one! Did you know that here in NC we have our own Woolly Worm Festival. People come from other states for this festival.

The kids around here love it, it's even complete with a woolly worm race!
