Edit The Ants
Do you know about Picnik? No, not the kind with ants and cold chicken and greasy chips. I'm talking about the photo editing software that's so easy anyone could use it — and yet packed with so many editing options even professional photographers use it to edit their pictures.
I've written about this tool before. I use it with nearly every photo I upload. And the more I use the tool, read the blog, and view their featured picniker the more I'm pleased with my results and the new tricks I learn.
Picnik is point and click easy, with many presets you can easily choose and click. And yet there are advanced options you can pay for that give you more control and creative abilities.
The following three photo's are of my best friend at her wedding. I did not take the photo's and I don't know what type of camera was used. I don't even know if a professional took them, but I venture to guess that the camera wasn't a fancy little thing just from the quality of the prints.
You'll see the before on the left and the after on the right. The editing consisted of using presets, manually playing with the color and exposure, as well as some advanced presets.

Even with my limited skills {but growing talent} you can see the dramatic differences Picnik's editing program can make with your photo's. Anyone can use it! You easily log into their system from any computer, anywhere, and get lost editing your photo's.
Options
- Free
- 4.95 per month
- 19.95 per 6 months
- 24.95 per year
Each option comes with its own features and you can learn more about each one by going to Picnik.com.
I've got PS elements on my computer and rarely use it thanks to picnik. Not because PS isn't a totally awesome tool – but simply because picnik is that easy to use and that good.

I would LOVE some nice editing software!
Oh – that is really nice! I've heard of it but haven't checked it out myself yet.
thanks for the draw!
Cathy
I've used the free version but would love more.
I've never used picknik. Currently I just use picasa. It's fine for being free, but I'd love something better.
I have heard so many good things about picnik! I'd really love to try it.
I haven't heard of picknic, but I'll definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the opportunity!
I too love picnik! I have been doing all of my pictures on there for scrapbooking and I love its abilities and the fact that it can be used for FREE!
Picnik would be a wonderful win. I currently do not use any editing software and I love photography, but I feel held back by our dinosaur of a camera. I bet picnik could take the pictures from our dinosaur camera to a whole different level! This would be an excellent win for anyone who loves pics…..and who doesn't love pics!
LOVE picnik!!!
Sometimes I wish I could take pictures and edit them on Picnik full-time!
But we are still getting back on our feet financially (after 2 job losses in 3 years) so I just use the Basic. There is no $$ for "extras" right now. . .
