You Capture: Chocolate & Vanilla

I've been slacking off on one of my favorite bloggy challenges lately. And that is 'You Capture', hosted by Beth of Folding Laundry. I've been so busy with life that I've let my love for photography and photo challenges fall the the side. Even though this week's challenge didn't 'light my fire', I still took the challenge.

See, it's all about black&white, and I don't have a thing for black and white at all. I love color. Color makes me feel alive, and joyful, and excited. Color evokes emotions and stirs my imagination. Having said that, I'm usually up for a challenge and this was the perfect one for me. It provided me a great chance to push myself and see how beautiful I can make a b&w photo in my eyes.

I played with several photo's, but in the end only this one made me feel something when it was all said and done.

The deep dark of the black, with the vibrant light of the white strikes me… and makes me feel deeply. I could get lost in this photo if I let myself. To me photography is all about what it makes you feel. If you look at a photograph and it doesn't stir something inside you, then it isn't doing its job. Hopefully others will be able to stare at this beautiful little wishing flower and feel something from it.
