Clothing Crisis

I think the maternity clothing monster invaded my closet with my last pregnancy and left me only with a few scraps!

I've purchased some summer clothes, but I've realized that I likely won't get a lot of use out of them because I'm still at the point where I can wear my regular shirts and still look cute.

So fall and winter clothing is what I really need and of course that is what has disappeared off the face of my closet!

I don't know about you, but it almost pains me to spend hard earned money on clothing you'll be wearing for a few months and might not wear again. As much as it may pain the wallet I have to admit it is fun to get new clothes.

So, Old Navy here I come!

On a great note, I thought I was going to be wearing a large much of this pregnancy. And I do need a large if it runs small, but I've gotten into more medium sized pants and skirts and tops than I ever thought I would! Little things like that make a pregnant woman feel good. :–)

Cardigans. They are the best. You can layer them over anything to make it winter worthy. Besides, as you know, dressing in layers is a comfy way to be with all those hormones and hot flashes towards the end. Have fun shopping!

I could never find cute maternity clothes that would fit. I'm so happy that you can fit into the mediums. There is nothing better than a happy pregnant person!! I would bet you look adorable in everything though.

It's always nice to find out you're a size smaller than you thought you were, especially during pregnancy. Yay for you!

What I've found throughout this pregnancy is that REGULAR clothes are fitting great- all my skirts are non-maternity as well as most of my tops! Styles right now are more forgiving with empire waists and such in the regular sections and are actually more fitted in maternity, I've found!! So, I feel better about buying these things that I'll be able to wear after pregnancy, too!

I have to get my act together and go through what I might have that you can use! Oh, and I don't know about you, but our Goodwill has a HUGE maternity section with lots of brand new things from Target (they send their clearance stuff there!)

I know what you mean! My last pregnancy was twins and I did not want to go buy a bunch of big clothes I'd wear for handful of times. So I hit the consignment stores. I found TONS of adorable, very expensive maternity clothes at great deal! And then when I was done with them, I took them back to be consigned! I think I actually made some money!

Oh I love to buy new clothes but I do hate what it does on the checkbook!

Just enjoy the shopping!

I hated the idea of spending money too - in fact, I waited until about the last month or two and then I was so fed up with the hand-me-downs I had in my closet (not to mention tired of feeling HUGE) that I splurged and spent most of my maternity shopping $ just for those two months. I don't regret it, though!

I wish I was there to go on a shopping spree with you. Gosh that would be so much fun. Can't wait to see what you picked out :)

I shopped at Old Navy for the majority of my pregnancy. Their clothes are pretty cute and cheap enough that I didn't feel bad buying a bunch for such a short time!
