As a former school teacher (30 years), I saw firsthand the dramatic increase in children with autism. It is, I believe, one of our most crucial issues today. With 7 grandchildren, and 2 more coming this summer, I am reading everything I can get my hands and my eyes on. I keep detailed notes of all the information and discuss with my own children... and with my former colleagues who are still teaching. And I agree that if celebrity voices raise awareness, then bring them on... This national platform may be just what parents, politicians and members of the medical community need. But it is our children who need it most... and NOW. Thank you again for this post. I will pass it along to everyone I know.
