i must admit, i was rooting for the other guy. but i thought the whole finale was very well-done. some years it's been really boring but i enjoyed it! (of course, i watched the last 3 minutes *first* and then watched the whole thing so there was no annoyance at waiting around…)

I knew once it got down to the top 5 Cook was going to win it. I just had this feeling that he was going to be the new American Idol so I wasn't the least bit shocked when they announced his name. And I truly do love him - he's got amazing vocals and not to mention he's pretty dang cute
