TT: Five Years Ago This Saturday
Was the day I married my best friend. The day I promised my life to one man. One of the happiest and most fun days of my life. I can hardly believe it has been five years this Saturday.
My husband and I eloped. Well, do you call it that when it was planned and everybody knew about it?
We both decided we weren't interested in a big traditional wedding. The idea of it just being the two of us in a sweet log chapel in the woods of Branson sounded ideal…and it truly was.
The day was special, sweet, and just for us.
Oh how we wanted to go back this year, stay in the same log cabin, with the same beautiful stone fireplace, same awesome hot tub, and relive those moments, but it just didn't work out that way…one day we'll go back, though.
Here are some pictures of our special day and then the honeymoon weekend.
(I don't have a scanner…so, they are pretty cruddy pictures taken of the pictures. lol Bare with me.)

(us being goofy while still getting ready for the wedding)

(us in the cabin before the wedding)

(me before the wedding at our log cabin)

(right after we got married. that was in the log cabin chapel)

(this is after the wedding. we came back, got changed, and went to McDonalds for lunch. lol We're unique, I know. All weekend we were saying "we're marriaged" hehe)

(that same day at the nature trail where we were staying)

(hubby acting a goof the day after our wedding.)

(Me acting a goofy the day after our wedding)

(that same day at table rock lake)
Looking back through these pictures makes me want to cry. It was such a beautiful time and I sometimes wish I could go back and relive it. Or at least go back and vacation just the two of us. One day. I know it. One day.
I love you sweet husband. You came into my life 9 1/2 years ago and changed it for the better. You promised me your love and devotion for the rest of your life 5 years ago. And you made me a Mommy 3 years ago. I love you more than you could know. You mean the world to me. I love that we can laugh about everything…even in the most stressful of times we always lean on each other and never turn on one another. Here's to the rest of our lives together!

Well you brought tears to my eyes! What a wonderful carefree day! I also eloped, in a very similar place – my x's parents log cabin in the woods actually – Congratulations, you are truly blessed!
Okay, seriously there needs to be a "kleenex warning" or something for these kinds of posts! You two look so sweet in those pictures, but that makes sense because you are just that sweet. Congratulations!
AWWWWW….How Sweet! Congrats to both of you. And I agree…you need to create a small graphic or something that says: "Grab the tissues prior to reading this one!"

Happy Anniversary!
What a great memory! Our wedding memory is not great, but at least we are married, right?
Eloping would maybe have been more fun, but not really possible, I had to get permission from a judge to get married.
